Friendship is hard work. Trust is hard work. Loving is hard work. That hard work is made even harder when those you've befriended, trusted and loved betrayed you. I find it better for me now to spend my time alone.
While I am alone, I am not lonely. I enjoy my company. I've made bad choices and mistakes in people that I thought were my friends. I'm doing the work and making things right now. I know I will end up better as I emerge from this cocoon of isolation I've wrapped around myself.
