The Journey to Find Me

February 20, 2019

The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails. William Arthur Ward

When I think of people finding themselves, I think of the hippies of the 60's and 70's eschewing all responsibility as they undergo their personal walkabout quests. The journey seemed to me such a selfish and self-centered way to look at life. Moreover, I thought, what happens when they find themselves. What then? I never really understood the point.
That is until I hit one of those birthdays that ended with a zero. This milestone put me in a tailspin of reflection. Birthdays are a reminder of your mortality, that you are only here on the earth for a short period of time. Every birthday is a reminder that you have a finite number of them, and as you get older the remaining finite number keeps getting smaller.
So I decided to find myself. Not like the hippies of the 60's and 70's; but as a married father of three children that cannot shirk responsibility. I found the app called BabbleStash and this was my panacea that helped me start the journey.
The app lets me articulate my thoughts and feelings about everything. I never realized how much I had bottled up inside of me that never had an opportunity to come out. Now it did. I haven't found myself fully yet, but with BabbleStash I know that journey to me will soon be over.

Download BabbleStash and start capturing your memories.
